ON THIS DAY: 17 JANUARY 2009 — ISRAEL ATTACKS UN SCHOOL IN GAZA WITH BANNED WHITE PHOSPHOROUS

Two brothers aged four and five were killed and 14 others were wounded when white phosphorus shells burst above this UN school in Beit Lahiya.
Two days earlier, at least three white phosphorus shells struck the main compound of the United Nations Relief and Welfare Agency (UNRWA) in central Gaza City on January 15, wounding three and starting fires that gutted four buildings and destroyed more than US$3.7 million worth of medical supplies.
When white phosphorous explodes it burns at high temperatures until deprived of oxygen and when it lands on skin it will eat through muscle and into the bone.
ISRAEL CAUGHT LYING YET AGAIN
Every day less people are falling for Israel’s lies and no wonder. Yet again Israel shows just why it simply cannot be trusted with words or weapons.
